Each letter is 50 feet tall and can be seen for miles. Did you know that the Hollywood sign used to light up? There were light bulbs around each letter. How pretty! There must have been hundreds and hundreds of them, wow!

There was this man who lived in a little guard house behind the sign for years, and years, And Years! His only job was to replace the lightbulbs when one burned out. That was the most important job in Hollywood! Gosh, I'll bet he got lonely up there all by himself. I wish I could have visited him. Just think, the two of us alone together at the Hollywood sign all night....Ooooh, how romantic!
